Germany offers a diverse landscape – from small towns to big cities like Berlin. We are looking forward to welcoming students from all over the world. Our host families and volunteers will provide you with an authentic insight into the German way of life – from daily routines to local traditions. During our school based year program you will get the opportunity to become part of a volunteer (non-paid) host family and attend classes at a local high school. School attendance is mandatory, as are certain AFS orientations and activities. During AFS orientations and activities you will be able to connect to other international AFS students who are going through the same process as you. Some optional activities may also be offered on a local level.
