You will arrive in Turkiye in September, while the summer weather will still be lingering, the scorching heat of August would be gone. This is a great time to experience Turkiye for the first time. After a short Arrival Orientation you will travel to your local communities to meet your host families. In Turkiye school year begins usually in the second week of September and the fall semester ends in the 3rd week of January.
There is a 1-week Fall Break in November. Your local chapters will organize Language Lessons at the beginning of the program but we encourage all of you to start studying Turkish on Busuu before coming to Turkiye. At the end of the programme the participant will attend the PEACE Camp in Brussels, Belgium organised by EFIL, from 28 November to 02 December 2027. The PEACE Camp will count with workshops focusing on Active Global Citizenship and marking the end of their exchange experience. It will gather around 270 participants from around the world that were hosted across Europe. Find more information about the PEACE Programme at peace.afs.org
